Classes & Youth Ministry

Biblical teaching, caring teachers, and a safe environment for every age

Classes for Every Age. A Church Family That Cares About Your Children.

At Woodland Hills, we want every child, teen, and family to feel welcomed, loved, and grounded in God’s Word. We offer Bible classes for all age groups, from nursery through adults, and we are especially grateful for the opportunity to help children and teenagers grow in faith in a safe, caring environment.

Bible Classes for Every Stage of Life

We offer Bible classes for every age group, including nursery, children, teens, and adults. Our goal is to help each person grow in faith, understand Scripture, and build meaningful relationships within the church family.

Whether you are visiting with a baby, bringing elementary-aged children, or looking for a strong youth group for your teenager, we want you to know there is a place for your family here.

Educational Offerings for Children and Youth

Nursery

A caring nursery environment is available for our youngest children. We want parents to be able to worship and participate with peace of mind, knowing their children are being cared for in a loving and attentive setting.

Children’s Classes

We offer Bible classes for children across the younger age groups, with teaching designed to help them learn about God, Scripture, and the love of Christ in age-appropriate ways.

Youth Group (7th–12th Grade)

Our youth group is specifically dedicated to students in 7th through 12th grade. Teens are taught, encouraged, and challenged to grow in faith, build strong relationships, and follow Christ in everyday life. We are grateful to have a dedicated youth ministry focus for this age group.

Adult Classes

In addition to our children’s and youth classes, we also offer Bible classes for adults, making it possible for the whole family to learn and grow together.

We Care Deeply About Children and About Keeping Them Safe

At Woodland Hills, we believe caring for children and youth is both a responsibility and a ministry. We want parents to know that we take safety seriously and work intentionally to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children and teens participating in Woodland Hills classes and activities. The stated mission of the church’s child and youth protection guidelines includes teaching children about God and Scripture, creating an environment of love and compassion where children feel safe, welcoming visitors, earning the trust of parents, and protecting children from harm.

Our child and youth safety efforts include:

  • Background checks for elders, deacons, staff, and approved volunteers who lead or oversee child and youth activities
  • Required child safety training through Protect My Ministry for approved volunteers, with regular renewal of training and background checks
  • Guidelines designed to avoid isolated one-adult/one-child situations and to promote visible, accountable supervision
  • Classroom and care procedures intended to help parents feel confident leaving their children in our care
  • Reporting and response procedures for concerns, infractions, or suspected abuse, including compliance with Tennessee mandatory reporting expectations
